JImmy Girvan - One of the last photos taken - Colin McRae Forest Stages 2010

One if the last photos taken of the late Jimmy Girvan. Only a few short corners from here Jimmy lost his life in a tragic accident. Residing in the Inverness area and previously winning the championship he was well know and very well liked within the sport. This was first stage of the Colin McRae rally just above Aberfeldy. The remaining stages of the rally were canceled as a mark of respect. The pit area afterwards was a humble place with everyone in shock. A sad day for the sport and rams home to us all how lucky we are. Taken on the 25th September 2010.
